Samantha W. Schurter
Raymond – Samantha W. Schurter, 45, of Raymond died July 14, 2008 in Brookfield, NH.
She was born February 20, 1963 in Laurel, MS the daughter of Betty Joyce Carlisle of Terrytown, LA and the late Sam Carlisle.
Samantha was raised in Terrytown, LA and was a graduate of Belle Chase High School, a graduate of LSU with a degree in Psychology and received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire. At the time of her death she was pursuing her ARNP at University of Massachusetts in Boston.
She was a person who never could gain enough knowledge and enjoyed pursuing new avenues and experiences in life. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed every minute spent with her husband, Steve and daughter, Maple. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, hiking and time spent in the outdoors.
Samantha was a Psychiatric Nurse at the New Hampshire State Hospital in Concord. Prior to this she spent 15 years as a Graphic Designer in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
In addition to her mother, family members include her husband, Stephen R.R. Farnum of Raymond, her Daughter, Maple W. Farnum of Raymond, her brother, Sam Carlisle of FL, her sister and brother-in-law, Ronie and Worth Sparkman and her niece and nephew Shane and Gray Sparkman of AR, her sister-in-law, Hilary Farnum of FL, her mother-in-law and father-in –law, Robert & Sue Farnum of MA.
She was predeceased by a brother, Shaun Carlisle.
A Celebration of Samantha’s life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home, Friday from 6-8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers it would be Samantha’s request that you plant a tree, bush or flowers in her memory or contribute to a trust fund for her daughter’s education. This will be established through Citizen’s Bank under the name “Maple Wynne Farnum Custodianship".
